Philly cheese steak sandwich

First of all, i would like to introduce to you a brief information about the Philly cheese steak sandwich history. A cheesesteak is a sandwich made from thinly sliced pieces of beefsteak and melted cheese in a long hero bread or hoagie roll. A popular regional fast food, it has its roots in the U.S. city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This is why they called it Philly after that.

The cheese steak started its official debut in early 1930, USA. Founded by chance by a hot dog vendor when he decided to put some beef on his grill with some vegetables and cooked them well in butter. Then he added some cheese to it. The cheese got melted together with the meat and vegetables in the butter and makes a great smell. After that, a lot of people smelled this great lovely smell; which came from the cheese steak. Then they started asking for their own steak sandwiches.

Philly cheese steak sandwich it’s one of the delicious famous sandwiches worldwide, it’s an easy food to fix and easy to add anything to it if you want to. The secret in Philly cheese steak sandwich is you can make it in 5 minutes or may be less; and it come back to the quality of the ingredients and the thinness of the raw beef and the kind of chosen cheese too. The Hoagie was declared the “Official Sandwich of Philadelphia” in 1992. The Hoagie was originally created in Philadelphia too. There are a number of different versions to how the Hoagie got its name, but no matter what version is right (historians cannot seem to agree on the correct version), all agree that the Hoagie Sandwich started in Philadelphia or the towns’ suburbs.

While this authentic sandwich has proved itself widely to be a street food favorite, it is also an excellent dish to make at home. When you prepare it yourself, you can experiment with a lot of different cheeses, veggies, bread; and cuts of beef until you create your dream Philly cheese-steak. I bet that the possibilities are endless and delicious too.

Do you have leftover steak in the freezer? Frozen steak is actually easier to slice thin. You can let it defrost a quarter of the way, slice it thin, and throw it straight into your pan. Just keep in mind to drain any excess moisture released before adding your sauteed veggies into the mix.
